Working Safely V 5.0

RJS is authorised by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health to provide the IOSH Working Safely V 5.0 training course.

We offer this 1-day classroom-based course where you will have an opportunity to share ideas, experiences and opinions on various topics of the above Learning Outcomes away from distractions in the workplace. Our trainers will guide you through the course and check on progress throughout the day to ensure you have the practical application, knowledge and understanding of the course content to achieve a positive outcome for the end of course assessment.

The course venue provides a comfortable and safe learning environment which is easily accessible from the A27 near Chichester and offers free parking and excellent facilities.

The IOSH ‘Working Safely’ course is suitable for people at all levels working in any industry and in an office environment that need to understand the essentials of Health and Safety in the workplace. The IOSH high-impact interactive course materials are structured to keep learners focused and give them a basic understanding of the following Learning Outcomes:

This one 1-day classroom-based course is recognised by CSCS as an equivalent to a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. Delegates who successfully complete can apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Labourer card once they have also applied for and passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test

Asbestos Awareness

This course is intended to provide workers and supervisors with the information they need to avoid carrying out work that may disturb asbestos by disturbing the fabric of a building, or other item which might contain asbestos.

Duration – Half day

Aims – The course aims to introduce and give attendees a general awareness of the legal requirements and safe practices that apply for anyone managing and controlling asbestos and for those working in a n environment where there could be asbestos.  They will learn about the hazards and risks associated with asbestos and the effects on health.

  • The effects of asbestos on workers health
  • The types, uses and risks of ACM’s in buildings
